What is self-care? Self-care is any activity that we do deliberately in order to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health. Although it’s a simple concept in theory, it’s something we very often overlook. Good self-care is key to improved mood and reduced anxiety.
As we were working the exercise, I began to ponder about the ever-popular process of intending and why plans sometimes fail to come to fruition, leading to disappointment. I contemplated that there is much more to it and that it is more complex than we realize. As I pondered, a picture of a “Y” appeared in my mind’s eye, along with Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave.”
